Texas College of TCM is approved to participate in various federal and state financial assistance programs, including the Federal Assistance options administered by the U.S. Department of Education under Title IV Student Aid Programs.  When applying for aid, the college's OPEID number is 031795.

FINANCIAL AID FAQ

Q: How much does it cost to go to TCTCM?
A: Total tuition and fees for the 3,045 hour program are $45,755.

Q: Am I eligible for any financial aid?
A: Eligible students must:

  • submit the FAFSA online to determine their federal eligibility amounts
  • be working toward a degree or certificate in an eligible program, such as the Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program at TCTCM
  • be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens
  • have a valid Social Security Number (unless you're from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau)
  • register with the Selective Service if required
  • maintain satisfactory academic progress once in school
  • not be in default on a federal student loan
  • not owe money on a federal student grant aid


Q: How much financial aid am I eligible for?
A: All borrowers at the graduate level (i.e. those who have completed more than 90 semester hours of
undergraduate coursework prior to enrollment) may borrow up to $20,500 per academic year (30 weeks), depending on their
enrollment status.*

Q: How much would I need to just pay for tuition and fees?
A: For full-time students, we estimate that about $4,800 should cover tuition and fees per trimester.

Q: If I borrow the maximum amount available to me, how much will I have for rent, utilities, and other living
expenses?
A: For a full-time student, we estimate that as much as $4600 per trimester would be left over from the loan for living expenses, after all
charges and fees are paid.

Q: How many hours do I need to take to be eligible for aid?
A: Students enrolled for as few as 12 hours per trimester are
eligible to receive Stafford Loan funding to help meet their
expenses.

Q: Are there any scholarships available?
A: The non-profit Lisa Lin Foundation, named in honor of the
College's co-founder, offers scholarships worth up to 50% of
tuition for a student's first trimester. For more information,

Q: I'm a  Veteran, can I use my VA benefits to attend school here?

A: Financial assistance is available through the Veteran's Benefit Program, administered by the Veteran's Administration, and through the Department of Assistive and
Rehabilitative Services, for eligible students.
